Many parts of State under red alert as temperatures soar to 47 degrees in Mercury

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has issued a red warning for several parts of the state due to anticipated scorching temperatures. The Society expects temperatures to reach up to 47 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Areas like Jagtial, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool are likely to experience extreme heat. Hyderabad is also predicted to see a rise in temperatures, reaching up to 41 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, several areas already experienced high temperatures with Matur in Nalgonda recording 45.5 degrees Celsius. Other areas like Mangapet in Mulugu, Timmapur in Nalgonda, and Madugulapally in Nalgonda also saw temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius. Within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, locations like Shaikpet, KPHB, Rajendranagar, and Attapur recorded maximum temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius.
