The Telangana State Drug Control Administration seized two medicines for misleading advertisements. Stonil tablets claimed to treat kidney stones while Hemapushpa Tonic claimed to treat women’s diseases. These claims violate the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.

During a special drive, ‘Lord’s Stonil Tablets’ and ‘Hemapushpa Tonic’ were identified and seized. The products made false claims about treating specific health issues. Raids were conducted at medical shops in Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.

Further investigation will be carried out, and action will be taken against the offenders. Those who make misleading drug advertisements can face imprisonment or fines under the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.
