Hyderabad, November 4, 2025 — Newly inducted Telangana Minister Mohammed Azharuddin has been officially allotted the portfolios of Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises.
The former Indian cricket captain, who recently took oath as a minister in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s cabinet, will now oversee key departments aimed at promoting inclusive development and transparency in public sector undertakings.
Azharuddin’s appointment is seen as a move to strengthen the government’s outreach to minority communities while ensuring efficient management of state enterprises.
