Hanumakonda: Rural festivals help bring communities together, said Hanumandla Jhansi Rajender Reddy, the in-charge of Palakurthi constituency. She shared these thoughts on Sunday while attending the Bodrai and Durgamma festivals at Ek Thanda in Rayaparthi mandal.
As the chief guest, Reddy also took part in the installation ceremony of a Hanuman idol. She performed special prayers and joined the villagers in carrying the bonam, a key part of the celebrations.
Speaking at the event, Reddy highlighted the importance of traditional festivals in uniting people. She said that participating in spiritual and cultural activities helps instil discipline in society.
She also assured the villagers of her support for the development of their village. Several local and mandal-level Congress leaders were present at the event.
