MLA Pailla Shekar Reddy has made serious allegations against Bhuvanagiri MLA Malla Reddy. He claimed that illegal assets have been found in Malla Reddy’s house and offices during a three-day raid, and that officials have not produced a single document from their possession. He also stated that the officials have conducted raids with assumptions and have carried out harassment. It was reported that he had been asked to verify the three-day raid within a single day. He clarified that there are family members and children in his house, and it is unfair to conduct raids for three days.
After the IT raids on Sunday, MLA Malla Reddy arrived in Bhuvanagiri amidst a grand welcome by the BJP cadre. Huge rallies were organized. Malla Reddy spoke at length during the gathering at the BJP camp office. A total of 70 IT notices were issued. The IT officials were shocked as they were expecting to find a lot in the raids. It was clarified that the investigation was completed in three days, while the rest of the time was spent on clarification. The IT officials assured that they have provided clear solutions to the questions raised and cooperated in all matters.
It was clarified that the phones were kept under surveillance for three days and lockers were opened. It was stated that they falsely reported news that his uncle Mohan Reddy conducted raids and took him into custody. It was mentioned that he has mining business in South Africa, and media and social media have spread false information about such businesses. Some have even tried to damage his image. MLA Malla Reddy is the district president of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Chairman of Oil Fed Kancherla Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of District Library Organization Jadal Amarendra Reddy, and President of Farmers’ Coordination Committee Kolupula Amarendra attended the press conference.
