Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy launched several significant civic and educational projects on Tuesday to boost the city’s growth and improve public services.
He began by laying the foundation for new toilets at the Government Girls Junior College. This project, funded with ₹18 lakh from MUDA, is just the start, as he also promised more funds for a new college building. Reddy emphasized the importance of providing essential facilities in government schools and criticized the previous BRS government for neglecting education for ten years. He praised the recent success of the Mahabubnagar First Pioneer coaching program, which enabled 114 students to earn top EAMCET ranks and secure free seats in engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture.
At Ambedkar Nagar, Reddy inaugurated a ₹10 lakh multi-purpose shed near the Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple. He highlighted the transformation of the city from a municipality to a municipal corporation, mentioning upgrades like underground drainage, new roads, buildings for women’s associations, and more community halls. He assured residents that with support from both the State and Central governments, Mahabubnagar will experience comprehensive development.
Several prominent figures attended the foundation ceremonies, including senior Congress leaders Vinod Kumar, DCC General Secretary Siraj Khadri, leaders Buddaram Sudhakar Reddy, Shantanna Yadav, Ram Laxman, Akbar, Government Girls Junior College Principal Kausar Jahan, and Municipal Commissioner Praveen Kumar Reddy.
