More than 6,000 votes cast through postal ballot in RR district to date

With just two more days left to vote through postal ballot for the employees on election duty, the total number of votes polled so far by the service voters has reached a total of 6,764 in Rangareddy district.

The election commission has allowed election staff like PO, APO, OPOs, micro observers, and police personnel to vote through postal ballot. This is because they will be busy with polling arrangements on election day.

Police personnel can vote until Monday. Other polling staff such as POs, APOs, and POPs have until November 28 to apply for postal ballot and exercise their right to vote.

In addition, 1,817 eligible elderly and disabled voters have used the “Vote from Home” facility. These voters were allowed to vote from their residences. Out of 1,988 applicants, 1,817 have already cast their votes.

The voting process for “Vote from Home” was closely monitored. Special polling teams visited applicants’ houses to collect the votes, ensuring privacy for the voters. Agents of the candidates were also allowed to witness the process. The entire process was recorded to ensure transparency.
