Vaddiraju Ravichandra, a Member of Rajya Sabha, has called on the Central government to implement a quota for women in the upcoming polls. He praised CM KCR’s efforts for the welfare of women in Telangana during a debate in Rajya Sabha. Ravichandra mentioned that the Assembly had passed resolutions supporting the reservation of seats for women and OBCs. He also highlighted CM KCR’s recent letter to PM Modi on women’s reservation and MLC K Kavitha’s protest for the same cause.

Ravichandra emphasized his party’s commitment to women’s legislation and mentioned various women’s welfare programs like Gruhalaxmi, Kalyana Laxmi, and Shadi Mubarak that were implemented during the BRS era. Additionally, he met with Railway Minister Aswini Vyshnav and requested for super-fast trains to halt at Khammam. This would greatly benefit the people working in granite industries from Tamil Nadu and Bihar who reside in Khammam.
