Dr. Sudha Jain, known for her role as Mrs. India Asia Pacific and as a socialite, opened the National Silk Expo 2025 at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad. This event, organized by Jagdishwar Hastkala, is a seven-day showcase featuring handmade silk and cotton items from Indian weavers. Dr. Jain stressed the importance of providing platforms like this to help women find genuine handloom fashion.
Jayesh Kumar, the organizer, explained the expo’s goal of linking weavers directly with buyers to avoid middlemen, thus enhancing the handloom sector. The exhibition is open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM, ending on July 28th, and offers a unique collection of handcrafted textiles all in one place.
