Tehreek Muslim Shabban president and Telangana Muslim Joint Action Committee convener Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik stated that Muslim organizations will not unconditionally support the Congress or any other party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that the Congress government in Telangana, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, has humiliated Muslims since coming to power. Mallik pointed out the increasing presence of people with RSS or BJP backgrounds in the Congress, such as ex-BJP leader Jitender Reddy, who was appointed to important government positions.

According to Mallik, there are several Congress candidates with RSS backgrounds or who have made anti-Muslim comments while in the BJP. He emphasized that Muslims will not accept their leadership and will campaign against such candidates in the elections. He also stated that Muslim voters will not cast their votes out of fear of the BJP or Narendra Modi, but based on the party and the secular credentials of individual candidates.

Mallik criticized the Congress government in Telangana for not including any Muslims in the cabinet, despite the potential for Muslim leaders to be appointed and later elected as MLCs. He questioned the government’s decision to recommend journalist Amer Ali Khan for an MLC position under the Governor’s Quota, anticipating legal challenges.
