Narayana Schools recently organized the TED-Ed Student Talks, providing a platform for 23 students to showcase their ideas and perspectives on pressing global issues. The participants were selected through a comprehensive screening and mentoring process designed to identify original thinkers and articulate communicators.
The event featured students presenting on diverse themes including social responsibility, environmental awareness, science and innovation, personal development, mental well-being, and creative expression. Topics ranged from flood resilience and nanoplastics to examining how dehydration impacts human intelligence.
As part of the official TED-Ed Student Talks Programme, the participating students underwent weeks of structured mentoring. The training focused on three core areas: idea development, storytelling techniques, and public speaking skills. This intensive preparation helped students refine their presentations and build confidence in expressing complex ideas.
Sharani Ponguru, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, emphasized the importance of such platforms in student development. “Platforms like TED-Ed Student Talks are essential in preparing students for the future. Beyond academics, they help children develop clarity of thought, confidence of expression, and a sense of responsibility towards society,” she stated.
She added, “At Narayana, we are committed to nurturing young minds who can think independently, communicate meaningfully, and lead with purpose, while empowering them to pursue and realise their dreams, because at Narayana, your dreams are our dreams.”
The event demonstrated students’ creativity, confidence, and intellectual curiosity while fostering a culture of thoughtful expression across the school community. It also reflected Narayana Schools’ 47-year legacy in education and its dedication to shaping responsible and articulate individuals.
