Dr. Riyaz, the founder and executive director of NASA Hospitals, announced the opening of the center at a press conference held at the Bashir Bagh Press Club. He shared that the center is equipped with the latest technology and a team of highly experienced doctors. The new facility is located on LB Nagar Main Road in Chintal Kunta and aims to treat various brain and spine ailments.

The team at the new center includes well-known specialists. Some of the key doctors are Dr. G.P.V. Subbiah, a spine surgeon; Dr. Venigalla Naveen Kumar, a neurologist; Dr. V. Sridhar Narayana, a brain and spine surgeon; as well as Dr. Venu Turumilli Rakesh, Dr. M. Karthik, and Dr. K. Prithvi Raj. Dr. Venigalla Naveen Kumar, the clinical director of NASA’s Comprehensive Brain Stroke Unit, explained that the center will offer treatments for a variety of conditions. These include brain strokes, seizures, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, neck pain, back pain, headaches, and meningitis. He stressed the importance of acting quickly when someone experiences symptoms of these conditions, as early treatment can make a big difference.

To help prevent brain strokes in the community, Dr. Naveen Kumar introduced a new program called “Be Fast.” This program aims to educate people about the warning signs of strokes and how to prevent them. He noted that symptoms like loss of balance, vision problems, unusual changes in the face, arm weakness, and difficulty speaking may all be signs of a stroke. He urged people to seek immediate medical attention if they notice any of these symptoms, as timely treatment can help prevent paralysis.

In addition to treating brain strokes, the center will offer a wide range of services. These include care for brain and spine conditions, neuro ICU care, stroke management, disease prevention, and rehabilitation services, as detailed by Dr. Naveen Kumar.
