The tourism sector in Warangal has received a significant boost under the BRS government, according to Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar. He made this statement during the inauguration of a boating facility at Bhadrakali Lake. The government has invested Rs 30 crore in the development of Bhadrakali Temple and Rs 75 crore in the development of Bund. Additionally, Padmakshi and Jain temples have also been improved.

Vinay mentioned that Hanumakonda, known for its cultural, educational, IT, and health facilities, has the potential to become a tourism hub. He expressed the government’s commitment to enhancing recreational facilities in the city. Vinay instructed tourism officials to establish a medication center on a rock in Bhadrakali Lake. He also stated his intention to advocate for a sound and lights show at Thousand Pillars Temple.

During another event, Vinay praised the Telangana State Government for its balanced focus on development and welfare. He highlighted the state’s progress in irrigation, education, healthcare infrastructure, and power generation under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Vinay added that other states are now looking to emulate Telangana’s holistic development.

Regarding the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC), Vinay revealed that each division has received Rs 10 crore for development. This stands in stark contrast to the previous situation in united Andhra Pradesh, where entire constituencies struggled to secure even Rs 5 crore for developmental programs.
