New mothers receive support through Buddy Program launched by [24]7.ai

[24]7.ai, a company based in Hyderabad and Bengaluru that provides customer solutions and contact center services, has launched a Buddy Program for new mothers on maternity leave. The program aims to keep new mothers connected to the workplace by sharing updates on corporate developments and team updates. If requested, new mothers can also receive professional psychological support through the program. The Buddy Program serves as a point of contact between the new mother and the company, sharing information on the employee’s wellbeing and motherhood experience with the supervisor and team. The Employee Relations team is also available for support if needed. The program can be fulfilled by a person of the employee’s choice, nominated by the supervisor, or any employee who wants to volunteer for the role.

The Buddy Program is part of [24]7.ai’s efforts to create an inclusive workplace for all employees. Nina Nair, Senior Vice President and HRD Head in India and the Americas at [24]7.ai, said, “We recognise that the transition back to work after maternity leave for new mothers needs to be managed in several stages. Our Buddy program is designed to provide the support and resources necessary for new mothers to feel connected with their teams through their maternity leave.” Nair added that [24]7.ai already has programs in place that allow new mothers to transition into full-time work at their own pace, but the Buddy Program will help ensure a smooth journey back to work.
