In a display of luxury and prestige, Hyderabad witnessed the sale of fancy TG (Telangana) number plates at jaw-dropping prices, with one coveted plate fetching a whopping sum of Rs 30 lakh. The auction, conducted by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), saw enthusiasts and collectors vying for the prized plates, marking a significant moment in the city’s automotive culture.
The extravaganza kicked off with a bang as the first TG number plate, TG 09 0001, set the tone by fetching an astounding Rs 9.61 lakh. This unprecedented bidding frenzy set the stage for an electrifying auction, leaving attendees in awe of the exorbitant prices these unique plates commanded.
Bhavyasindhu Infra Projects Pvt Ltd paid Rs 2,30,909 for TG 09 0909; Shanvitha Reddy Alleti paid Rs 2,21,000 for TG 09 0005; Dhushyanth Reddy Minnamreddy paid Rs 1,22,222 for TG 09 0002 and TG 09 0369 went to Satori Designs for Rs 1,20,001 and TG 09 0007 was won by Sangana Hari Haranatha Reddy for Rs 1,07,777. The total aggregate sum is 30 Lakhs.
The RTA headquarters in Khairtabad hosted the grand event, marking the official release of the TG series number plates. The Telangana government last month decided to change the state’s abbreviation from ‘TS’ to ‘TG’.
