Hyderabad: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Hyderabad held its Graduation Project Show 2025 on Thursday at the HICC Novotel. This event displayed creative projects from students about to graduate, spanning various design areas.
Prof Malini D, Director of NIFT-H, emphasized the importance of the showcase, saying it highlights the impact of design education. She noted that it goes beyond just showing clothes or visuals, reflecting a new generation ready to change fashion and lifestyle globally.
The event celebrated years of student creativity, skill, and research. Seven departments presented their projects, marking the end of their academic journey.
In the fashion design department, 44 students showcased 27 graduation projects and 17 special design collections. The projects included a variety of styles such as knitwear, textiles, and fashion communication, along with fashion accessories, technology, and management studies.
Notable guests, including Santhi Kumari, Director General of the MCR HRD Institute; Divya, CEO of SERP; Shikha Goel, DGP-CID; and Alugu Varshini, Social Welfare Officer, praised NIFT’s role in developing future design leaders in India.
The show featured various design concepts, from modern fashion solutions to eco-friendly accessories and socially aware communications. It also included advanced textile innovations. Each department showed an industry-focused approach, backed by thorough research and mentorship. The event attracted significant interest from industry and academic professionals.
