Secunderabad Cantonment road restrictions continue to be a recurring issue. The Local Military Authority (LMA) has once again imposed restrictions at Eagle Chowk during the night, causing frustration among commuters. Local residents have pointed out that the LMA consistently restricts civilian access without providing intermittent access. Many roads within the SCB limits remain closed, with only a few reopened last year. These roads lack proper maintenance, including re-carpeting and adequate lighting, making it challenging for commuters.

Recently, the LMA imposed night restrictions at gate no. 7 at Eagle Chowk, prohibiting civilians from accessing the area after 10 pm. This decision has been met with discontent from the community, who feel inconvenienced by the lack of flexibility during emergencies. The lack of prior advisory on road curbs and sudden imposition of restrictions has caused frustration among residents.

Some residents, like Nikhil Sriram from Yapral, have expressed concerns about having to take longer routes due to these restrictions, especially during nighttime commutes. The situation is exacerbated by the prohibition of trespassing near Bolarum and the enforcement of nighttime curbs. The community is urging relevant authorities to reconsider these restrictions and provide better access to civilians in the area.
