In Hyderabad, BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao has chosen Lasya Nivedita as the candidate for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly segment in the upcoming bye-election. Nivedita is the sister of the late Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita, who tragically passed away in an accident.
The decision to select Nivedita was made after a meeting of party leaders at KCR’s farmhouse. Party leaders Harish Rao and Working President KT Rama Rao were also present at the meeting. The bye-election was necessitated by the untimely death of Lasya Nandita.
The party is also considering its options for the Warangal candidate following the departure of Kadiyam Kavya. Kavya, along with her father Kadiyam Srihari, left the party to join Congress and has been given a ticket by that party.
Additionally, the party has announced a team of ten leaders who will be responsible for overseeing the campaign in the Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency. These leaders include Ramprasad Ravulapati, Tandra Venkataramana Rao, Mane Ramakrishna, Bodeboina Butchaiah, Gudavarthy Narasimhamurthy, SaginiSrinivasaraju, Koteru Srinivasa Reddy, DoddiTatarao, Ramesh Goud, and Sadanapalli Chittibabu.
