    NTPC is celebrating its 50th anniversary today, marking the occasion with various activities. As part of the celebration, NTPC’s Southern Region Headquarters (SRHQ) distributed portable toilets and a Pota Cabin to the Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) in Hyderabad. This was done under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The Sports Coaching Foundation is an NGO that provides free sports coaching to children from underprivileged backgrounds.

    The cabin and toilets were inaugurated by Shri SN Panigrahi, General Manager (HR) of NTPC SRHQ, who handed them over to the SCF. The event also had Shri Praveen Kumar, Retired Additional Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, as the guest of honor.

    The management of the Sports Coaching Foundation appreciated NTPC’s support and its contribution to promoting a sports culture in Hyderabad. Shri SN Panigrahi addressed the children, encouraging them to develop a passion for sports, recognizing their potential and talent. He also shared information about NTPC’s history and the work it does.

    NTPC is actively involved in promoting sports and is the official sponsor of archery in India. The company, founded in 1975, has grown to become India’s largest energy conglomerate, playing a key role in the country’s power development. NTPC currently has a total installed capacity of 76,475.68 MW.
