Madira: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the opposition’s concerns about its future due to the state’s ongoing welfare programs. The government is actively implementing initiatives to better citizens’ lives.

Bhatti Vikramarka attended an event for distributing Indiramma housing lands in the Madira Assembly constituency. During his speech, he highlighted the transformative impact of the Congress party’s schemes on people’s lives. Despite opposition efforts, he assured that the government remains committed to public welfare.

He noted that Telangana has 1.10 crore families, with nearly 93 lakh families receiving at least one welfare benefit from the Indiramma government. In just 18 months, programs catering to all life stages have been launched.

Criticizing the opposition, Bhatti said previous leaders prioritized personal gains over public service, failing to address citizens’ issues. He mentioned their negligence in clearing housing bills sanctioned earlier by the Congress and accused them of misusing state resources.

Bhatti argued that if the BRS government had constructed houses during their decade in power, the current expenditure on Indiramma housing wouldn’t be necessary. He stressed that the government is building homes to ensure the poor live with dignity and promised to realize their dream of homeownership.

He also initiated a project for tourist facilities at Madhira Tank Bund with a budget of Rs 6.45 crore and distributed sanction papers to Indiramma house beneficiaries in Madhira, Errupalem, and Bonakal.

At the event, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling the housing dreams of the poor, granting Rs 5 lakh per house. The government plans to invest Rs 22,500 crore in the first phase, providing 4.5 lakh houses. Selection of beneficiaries is transparent, free from party influence.

He concluded by affirming the government’s dedication to resolving public issues, spending substantial funds to ensure every poor individual owns a home with pride. The Indiramma housing scheme aims to make this vision a reality.
