Osmania University Business Department Hosts Cultural Event to Celebrate Diversity

Osmania University’s business management students brought their campus to life with a spectacular cultural celebration called ‘Desi Dhamaka’ this Tuesday. The annual event filled the university grounds with bright colors, traditional performances, and diverse cultural displays.

AV Subramanyam, who serves as Secretary of KMES, Hyderabad, attended as the main guest speaker. University officials including Prof Sree Ramulu, the Management Faculty Dean, and Prof Y Jahangir, who heads the Department of Business Management, also joined the festivities.

Students from different countries and various regions of Telangana took center stage to share their unique cultural backgrounds. The celebration created an opportunity for everyone to learn about different traditions and customs from around the world.

The day featured multiple exciting activities that engaged all participants. Students displayed beautiful traditional clothing from their home regions and countries. Dance performances, musical presentations, and dramatic shows brought various cultural stories to life on stage.

Interactive games and team-building exercises helped students connect with each other beyond their studies. These activities strengthened friendships and created lasting bonds between classmates from different backgrounds.

Several respected faculty members participated in the celebration, adding their support to the student-led event. Dr. G Vidyasagar Rao, who chairs the Board of Studies, attended alongside Dr P Venkataiah, a Senior Professor. Prof Smitha Sambrani and Dr. Samunnatha, the Vice-Principal, also showed their enthusiasm for the cultural showcase.

The Department of Business Management emphasized that Desi Dhamaka represents more than just entertainment. Officials stated the event demonstrates the university’s dedication to welcoming students from all backgrounds while maintaining high academic standards.

This annual tradition continues to strengthen the sense of community within Osmania University. The celebration proves that cultural diversity enhances the educational experience for all students pursuing their business management degrees.
