A one-day workshop was held by Osmania University in Hyderabad. The workshop focused on empowering school girls in Telangana through Kasthurba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in alignment with NEP 2020. The goal of the workshop was to share the findings from a research project called ‘Impact of KGBVs on Empowering School Girls of Telangana through NEP-2020 Alignment.’ Participants provided feedback and observations on aligning NEP 2020 with KGBV initiatives.
During the workshop, Professor D Ravinder, Vice Chancellor of Osmania University, emphasized the importance of social justice in education. He advocated for integrating schools instead of dividing them based on caste. Professor G Mallesham, UGC Dean, highlighted the significance of strengthening existing schools according to NEP 2020, rather than opening new ones.
