This weekend, many schools in the UK are on break, and there is a three-day weekend, which means that there will be a lot of traffic on the roads and busy flight schedules. The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) has reported that this will be the busiest weekend for motoring in the UK since 2019. The RAC expects that approximately 19 million leisure journeys by car will take place on UK roads in the next four days. In addition, more than 3,000 planes are scheduled to take off on Friday.

The RAC has advised drivers to prepare their cars before traveling by checking oil, coolant, and tires. The RAC has also warned that traffic is likely to peak on Friday when leisure trips and commuting coincide. A survey of 2,138 drivers for the RAC suggested that 19.2 million leisure car trips will take place across the UK between Friday and Monday. Severe delays are expected on the M25, the M5 in Somerset, and M6 in Cheshire.
