Hyderabad: Oxford Grammar School in Himayat Nagar celebrated World Earth Day on Tuesday with a variety of meaningful activities aimed at helping the environment and encouraging students to take part in protecting the planet.
The event was attended by M Vedakumar, the Chief Patron of Oxford Grammar School and Chairman of the Deccan Heritage Academic Trust (DHAT). He planted a sapling on the school campus, joining with the school team to show their dedication to making the campus a “Plastic Free Zone”.
The school has been actively working on several green initiatives. These include reducing solid waste, saving and using water wisely, growing more plants, cutting down on electronic waste, and supporting biodiversity. Their efforts mainly focus on fighting climate change, reducing waste, and protecting plant life.
