Hyderabad, April 27: Residents of Paramount Hills in Tolichowki (Jubilee Hills Division) are grappling with severe sanitation issues due to irregular garbage collection by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). With over 400 apartment buildings relying on just one garbage vehicle, the truck reportedly visits the area only once a week, leading to unbearable conditions.
The infrequent collection has resulted in overflowing garbage, causing foul smells and creating an unhealthy environment across the residential complexes. Despite several complaints lodged through the GHMC app, the garbage is cleared only after residents raise specific complaints, with no consistent collection schedule being maintained.
Frustrated residents allege that no GHMC official is taking responsibility for the problem. They are demanding immediate action to deploy more garbage trucks and ensure daily waste removal to restore basic hygiene in the area.
Locals are now urging GHMC authorities to intervene without further delay, emphasizing that proper waste management is not just a civic need but a health necessity for the hundreds of families living in Paramount Hills
