Wanaparthy District: On September 17, Patnam Mahender Reddy was the chief guest at the Telangana Public Administration Day held at the IDOC in Wanaparthy. He raised the national flag to mark the occasion.

As the chief guest, Chief Whip MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy received a salute from the police department. A report highlighting the district’s welfare and development achievements was presented.

District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, SP Giridhar Ravula, Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, and other key officials like Additional Collectors Khimya Nayak and Yadayya, along with Agricultural Market Yard Chairman Srinivas Goud and DSP Venkateswara Rao, were present.

Patnam Mahender Reddy expressed gratitude to the attendees, including Members of Parliament, MLAs, district officers, students, and media representatives. He emphasized the importance of September 17, 1948, when Telangana joined India, transforming from a monarchy to a democracy.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government is focused on resolving public issues and implementing promises. Key schemes include the Mahalakshmi Scheme, affordable cooking gas, the Mahila Shakti Scheme, and new ration cards. The Indiramma House Scheme aims to provide Rs. 5 lakh to families to build homes, with 6,173 houses sanctioned in the district.

Under the Griha Jyoti Scheme, families with ration cards receive up to 200 units of free electricity, benefiting 82,708 families with Rs. 30.48 crore in savings. New power sub-stations are being developed at a cost of Rs. 45.43 crore.

For farmers, the Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Loan Waiver Schemes provide substantial support. The Rythu Bharosa Scheme has distributed Rs. 205.93 crore to 1,75,869 farmers. The Rythu Bhima Scheme provided Rs. 5 lakh each to 681 families, totaling Rs. 34.05 crore.

The government waived off up to Rs. 2 lakh in farmer loans, benefiting 60,545 farmers with Rs. 480.91 crore. The Bhu Bharati Act is resolving land issues, with 1,207 applications addressed.

The education system is being transformed, with investments like the Young India Integrated Residential School costing Rs. 200 crore for SC, ST, BC, and minority students. Law and order improvements include a new command control room, CCTV monitoring, and initiatives like SHE TEAM for women’s safety. Efforts are also being made to combat cybercrime and drug abuse, aiming for a drug-free district.
