A person fell into a 40-foot deep borewell at the Delhi Jal Board plant near Keshopur Mandi. The victim’s age and gender are unknown. The incident happened when the person entered the Jal Board office for theft and accidentally fell into the borewell.

The Delhi Fire Service, along with teams from NDRF and Delhi Police, responded to the emergency. Five fire tenders were deployed to the location to assist in the rescue efforts.

At around 2:45 am, it was reported that the borewell’s depth was between 40 to 50 feet. The NDRF team, led by Inspector-in-charge Veer Pratap Singh, planned to start rescue operations by digging a new borewell parallel to the existing one.

The rescue operation is a collaborative effort among various agencies to save the individual trapped in the borewell. Updates on the progress of the rescue efforts are expected to be provided as they continue.
