A speeding scooter hit a police officer at the Pantangi Toll Plaza in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The incident happened during regular vehicle inspections on Tuesday evening and was recorded on CCTV.
The officer, named Asif, was working when a scooter rider tried to avoid the traffic check and crashed into him. The collision caused Asif to be thrown into the air, and the rider also fell, getting injured.
Emergency services quickly took both to a nearby government hospital. Due to serious injuries, Constable Asif was later transferred to Hyderabad for advanced medical treatment.
