Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla has urged MPs to work according to India’s aspirations as the maiden session begins in the new building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who unveiled the new Parliament, stated that everything, including the staff uniform, will be new. He commended those involved in the construction and announced that a digital recording of the names of engineers and workers will be displayed for future generations.
PM Modi emphasized the need for a change in mindset and working only for the welfare of the country in this sacred place. He also stressed the importance of cooperation, discipline, decorum, and following the rules and regulations set by the Speaker. He reminded everyone that their behavior leading up to the elections will determine their position in either the treasury benches or the opposition.
