In Bhadradri Kothagudem District, the police caught two individuals transporting banned cannabis in a van. The suspects were identified as Shubham Sarath Bhandari and Amjat Abdul Shaikh from Maharashtra. They were arrested while trying to take the marijuana from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra. The police also arrested the person who sold them the drugs and the intended buyer.
The police officers involved in the operation were commended by Three Towns and District SP Rohit Raju IPS for their work in seizing the illegal substances.
Overall, the police seized approximately Rs.1,23,00,000 worth of cannabis and the investigation is ongoing to determine further details about the case.
