Hyderabad: Malkajigiri MP Eatala Rajender has announced plans to file a privilege motion against the police. He stated that the police obstructed and arrested him and others while they were on their way to Lagacharla.
Eatala Rajender, along with MP DK Aruna, spoke to the media at the Narsingi police station on Monday. They had been taken to the station earlier after being placed under preventive arrest while traveling to Lagacharla.
Rajender explained that the visit to Lagacharla was planned because tribal farmers and Dalit children were beaten severely by a large group of police officers and then jailed under harsh conditions. He said that as responsible opposition representatives, DK Aruna and BJLP leader Maheshwar Reddy wanted to go to Lagacharla to support and console the affected families.
