Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and former legislator Aligi Reddy Praveen Reddy participated in a padayatra organized by AICC and PCC in Husnabad constituency on Thursday to mark the completion of one year of Bharat Jodo Yatra, a unity march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir led by Rahul Gandhi.

During his speech, Prabhakar criticized the BJP government for undermining democratic institutions and creating divisions among people. He praised Rahul Gandhi for leading the march with the slogan of ‘Nafrat Chodo Bharat Jodo’ (Abandon Hatred, Unite India) to counter the BJP and protect the country’s unity.

Prabhakar also accused the BJP of attempting to discredit Rahul Gandhi and his family’s contributions to the country. He claimed that the current government is selling national assets to corporate entities, benefiting a select few individuals at the expense of the nation.

Despite the obstacles posed by the BJP government and the COVID-19 pandemic, Prabhakar highlighted the continued success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra and its impact on the Congress Party’s revival. He stated that Narendra Modi’s fear of opposition parties uniting under the INDIA Alliance demonstrates their potential to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party’s rule.
