Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, helped Mumbai Indians win their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. This was Tendulkar’s second IPL match, and he defended 20 runs in the final over to secure the win. He also took his first-ever IPL wicket by dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Former India and Mumbai Indians spinner Pragyan Ojha praised Tendulkar for his performance, saying that he showed tremendous confidence.
Mumbai Indians batted first and scored 192/5, with Cameron Green being awarded the Player of the Match for his innings of 64 off 40 deliveries. Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan also contributed to the score. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s chase was led by Mayank Agarwal, who scored 48 runs, but regular fall of wickets set the hosts back. They were eventually bowled out for 178 in 19.5 overs.
Ojha commented on Tendulkar’s bowling and discussed how happy Sachin Tendulkar must be feeling. Parthiv Patel also praised Cameron Green for his performance and talked about the momentum Mumbai Indians are hoping to build after winning their third consecutive match.
