KTR Pays Tribute to Telangana Movement Leaders During BRS Silver Jubilee

Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao (KTR), the Working President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), paid tribute to the great leaders of the Telangana movement on Sunday.
He honored Acharya Konda Lakshman Bapuji and Professor Jayashankar by garlanding their statues at Tank Bund and the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial.
Speaking at the event, KTR said that Konda Laxman Bapuji and Professor Jayashankar were the two main pillars who inspired the Telangana movement. He credited their efforts and leadership for the success of the movement and the party’s journey.
KTR also praised K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), saying that his leadership was crucial in guiding the struggle for Telangana. He reminded everyone that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), now BRS, was founded 25 years ago at Jala Drishyam in the same area.
He said, “The party started with just one person. Today, millions have joined, and together we achieved the dream of Telangana.”
KTR expressed happiness at starting the silver jubilee celebrations from the same place where the party began. He paid respect to Konda Laxman Bapuji, who supported the pink flag of the party during tough times.
He stressed that for the BRS, the only agenda has always been the progress of Telangana. From fighting for statehood to working for its development, the commitment remains the same.
KTR also bowed his head in respect to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana. He said, “With the blessings of the martyrs and elders, we hope to serve the people of Telangana for another 25 years.”
