Protesters Gather Outside Khammam Collectorate Calling for Chilli Board

Leaders from different political parties gathered in front of the Khammam Collectorate to protest. They demanded the establishment of a Chilli Board in the district to support local farmers.

The protestors urged the government to address the challenges faced by chilli farmers. They called for a minimum support price of ₹25,000 per quintal to help farmers get fair compensation for their produce.

Additionally, the demonstrators asked for a special committee to be formed. This committee would study the difficulties faced by chilli farmers and suggest ways to improve their situation.

During the protest, BRS MLC Tata Madhu spoke in support of the farmers. He stated that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would continue to fight for their rights. He also assured that the party is committed to securing better prices and facilities for chilli farmers.

The protest highlighted the increasing concerns of chilli farmers in Telangana. They are seeking government support to stabilize prices and provide financial relief to sustain their livelihood.
