Gadwal: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have caught Pullur Panchayat Secretary, Praveen Kumar Reddy, while he was accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh. This incident took place in Undavelli Mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal district.
Acting on the orders of District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Shyam Sunder, ACB officials set up a trap. Praveen Kumar Reddy was caught red-handed while receiving the bribe from a venture manager on the outskirts of Pullur village.
The operation was led by ACB DSP Balakrishna. His team successfully arrested the accused on the spot.
After the arrest, ACB officials started searching the DPO office as part of their investigation. Further details about the case are still awaited.
