Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP of disrespecting women and the country’s self-respect in their pursuit of power. Gandhi shared a video consisting of media reports on incidents of sexual assault to criticize the central government.
The video highlighted various incidents, including the sexual assault on two women who were stripped and paraded by a mob in Manipur, allegations of sexual harassment of women wrestlers by outgoing WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the alleged killing of a woman in Uttarakhand involving the son of a BJP leader, and the release of convicts in the Bilkis Bano gangrape case.
