A shocking food safety incident has come to light in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, after a resident received foul-smelling and spoiled chicken biryani through an online food delivery app. The complaint led police to uncover serious hygiene violations at a local restaurant outlet, where 80 packets of biryani were found stored under unhygienic conditions. Authorities discovered that the food had been cooked three days earlier at a facility in Jeedimetla, then reheated and delivered to unsuspecting customers.

During the inspection, officials found alarming evidence of poor hygiene practices at the outlet. The investigation revealed the presence of rats inside the refrigerator where food was being stored, raising serious concerns about food safety standards. The biryani packets had been kept without proper refrigeration protocols, leading to spoilage and potential health hazards for consumers who ordered from the establishment.

Following the discovery, police have filed a case against the restaurant owner, identified as Irfan. The authorities have taken immediate action by sealing the restaurant premises to prevent further distribution of contaminated food. The case has been registered under relevant food safety laws, and the owner faces legal consequences for endangering public health through negligent food handling practices.
