Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is working to revive the past glory by changing the Telangana symbols. He believes that former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s self-obsession as an autocratic ruler is reflected in the existing symbols. Reddy mentioned that BRS does not want to credit the martyrs, hence protesting against the martyrs’ memorial in the emblem.

In an informal interaction with journalists at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Revanth Reddy clarified that the decision to change the Telangana symbols was not his personal decision but a collective one by the Cabinet sub-committee led by Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. He stated that the government would fully implement this change since it was declared in the Assembly. Everyone’s opinion will also be considered in the next Assembly session regarding this issue.
