Barrelakka, also known as Sirisha, who ran in the recent Telangana assembly elections, has filed a complaint with the state women’s commission against popular film director Ram Gopal Varma. Varma made comments about Barrelakka not having a name or village but still becoming famous, which she took seriously. Her lawyer, Rajesh Kumar, filed the complaint with the Telangana Women’s Commission on her behalf.

During the audio function of the movie ‘Vyuham’ on December 24, Varma said that Barrelakka takes care of animals and that animals listen to her words, which is why she is called Barrelakka. Barrelakka complained to the Women’s Commission about these comments and requested action to be taken against Varma.
