The Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi will decide whether to send BRS MLC K Kavitha, who was arrested in Hyderabad on Friday, to remand or grant bail by 4.30 pm. She appeared in court on Saturday morning, and the magistrate heard arguments from both sides before reserving judgment until evening. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had requested 10 days custody of Kavitha.
Kavitha’s advocate argued that her arrest was a coercive act by the ED, violating their promise to the Supreme Court not to take such action until the case was resolved. The ED presented its side of the argument, and the judge has yet to make a decision. Kavitha remains in court alongside ED officials, with no visitors allowed. Her legal team is attempting to gain permission from the judge to meet with her.
