The Transport department staff in Hyderabad are upset about an attack on Joint Transport Commissioner Ramesh. They are holding a State-wide protest by wearing black badges at the RTO offices.
Many employees are showing support for Ramesh, who was attacked by an auto-rickshaw union leader. This incident has caused anger among the department’s workers and union leaders, who want the accused person to be arrested immediately.
Staff members are protesting by wearing black badges and going on a strike. As a result, people who came to the RTA offices for transport-related tasks had to leave without completing their work.
At the RTO South Zone office, work was stopped as officers gathered following the attack on Ramesh by Amanullah Khan, the auto-rickshaw union leader. Khan allegedly assaulted Ramesh during a discussion about fare metres of autos, which led to his arrest and remand in custody.
The staff at the office are demanding justice and safety for all their colleagues. They believe that violence against a senior officer like Ramesh is unacceptable and are calling for strict punishment for Khan.
