Salman Khan Ventures Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled plans to develop a massive ₹10,000-crore integrated township and film studio complex in Telangana, marking one of the largest investments in the state’s creative economy sector.
The announcement was made at the Telangana Rising event held at Bharat Future City, where detailed conceptual presentations were shared with government officials and stakeholders.
The ambitious project will combine luxury hospitality, entertainment infrastructure, and residential development on an unprecedented scale. The township will feature a championship golf course, high-end leisure amenities, a race course, curated nature trails, and premium residential spaces.
At the centre of the development will be a state-of-the-art film studio complex designed to support large-format productions, OTT content creation, post-production facilities, and talent development programmes. The integrated approach aims to create a complete creative and lifestyle district capable of hosting global film projects.
The project presentations highlighted design philosophy, sustainability principles, and phased development timelines. Discussions between the government and project team covered land structuring, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure connectivity requirements.
The Chief Minister of Telangana welcomed the investment, describing it as a milestone for the state’s creative sector. He emphasized that the project will generate thousands of jobs and strengthen Telangana’s position as one of India’s most attractive destinations for filmmaking, entertainment, and luxury tourism.
The state government has expressed readiness to extend facilitation support for approvals, connectivity development, and ecosystem building. Officials noted Hyderabad’s existing strengths as a film and media hub, which make it an ideal location for such a large-scale creative economy project.
The mega township is expected to redefine the intersection of entertainment, hospitality, and urban development in India. With Hyderabad’s rising prominence in cinema, technology, and global events, the project provides a strong anchor for the next decade of creative-economy growth in the state.
The development will create a complete production ecosystem, positioning Telangana as a major destination for both domestic and international filmmaking projects while simultaneously boosting tourism and creating employment opportunities across multiple sectors.
