    A Field Day program was held in Khanapur village, Bijinapally Mandal, to demonstrate a new maize variety. This variety was developed by the Maize Research Institute, Rajendranagar, and the event was organized under the supervision of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem.

    During the event, Dr. M. Sujatha, Principal Scientist, encouraged farmers to adopt high-yielding maize varieties. She also advised them to follow proper farming techniques at the right time to increase their profits.

    Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Coordinator of KVK, explained that maize has great potential for high yields. He emphasized the importance of using the right nutrients and practicing crop rotation to maintain soil health and ensure sustainable farming.

    Additionally, Dr. Mallayya, Senior Scientist, provided valuable information about disease management in maize crops. Dr. Vanishree spoke about effective pest control methods, and Dr. Samatha Parameshwari shared techniques to boost crop yield.

    The event was attended by scientists from the Maize Research Institute and KVK Palem, along with 100 farmers who participated in the program.
