The 132nd World Pictorial Photography Day was celebrated at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. As part of the event, the university organized a Photo Contest 2024. During the celebrations, renowned photographer SK A Sharief from Bhadrachalam received the prestigious Vaddadi Surya Prakasa Rao Memorial Award for his photograph titled “Beauty of Nature.” The photograph earned high praise from the event organizers.
The award was presented by Professor K Rama Mohana Rao from the AP State Council of Higher Education, who attended the event as the chief guest. The ceremony also saw the presence of notable figures such as ANU Vice Chancellor K Gangadhara Rao, Dr Madhu Babu, Prof K Ratna Shiela Mani, G Simhachalam, and M Suresh Kumar.
SK A Sharief, known for his exceptional photography skills, has previously won several national and international honors. Following this latest recognition, many individuals and organizations, including the Rotary Club and Lions Club, extended their heartfelt congratulations to him.
