Russian shelling of a residential building in the city of Sloviansk, Ukraine has killed at least five people and injured 15 others. The city is located in the Donetsk region which is under Ukrainian control and close to territory controlled by Russia. The local governor, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has warned that there could be seven people, including one child, still trapped under the rubble. The top floor of the apartment block was blown off and firefighters and rescuers are working to clear the debris. Children’s school books and drawings were found scattered amongst the rubble. Medics and police are also present at the scene.
