Hyderabad, December 2025Southwest Airlines, one of the major airline carriers in the United States, has announced its decision to establish a Global Innovation Centre in Hyderabad as part of its international expansion strategy. The announcement came after a high-level meeting between the airline’s senior leadership and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Telangana Secretariat. The delegation included the airline’s Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and other key executives who discussed the company’s plans to leverage Hyderabad’s thriving technology ecosystem and skilled workforce.

The Global Innovation Centre will serve as a crucial hub for airline operations, technology development, data analytics, and innovation functions. Southwest Airlines has secured approximately 20,000 square feet of premium office space at Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City, located in Raidurg Village along the HITEC City Corridor. This business park spans around 30 acres and offers a combination of SEZ, non-SEZ, and built-to-suit office spaces designed to accommodate global corporations. The facility is expected to tap into Hyderabad’s rich talent pool and robust IT infrastructure to drive innovation in airline technology and operations.

Sattva Knowledge City has emerged as a preferred destination for multinational companies due to its strategic location near HITEC City and Gachibowli, offering excellent connectivity and modern infrastructure. The campus hosts a diverse range of global corporations, including Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Novartis, Gartner, and JP Morgan Chase.
