Telangana is bracing for another spell of cold weather as meteorological authorities have issued a warning for Cold Wave expected to grip the state from January 5 to January 12. After a brief respite from the harsh winter conditions, residents can expect a return to temperatures similar to those experienced during the December cold wave. The upcoming cold spell is expected to bring more intense winter conditions with temperatures dropping significantly across the region.

The new cold wave warning indicates that minimum temperatures will fall to levels comparable to the previous cold wave period in December. Unlike the earlier cold spell, this time both day and night temperatures are expected to remain low. Day temperatures are forecast to hover around 25-26 degrees Celsius, which is considerably lower than normal for this time of year. This combination of low daytime and nighttime temperatures will create persistent cold conditions throughout the week.

Weather experts predict that the cold wave will be accompanied by dense fog and hazy conditions throughout the day. The state has already been experiencing foggy mornings in recent days, but the intensity of fog is expected to increase significantly during the upcoming cold spell. The continuous hazy and foggy weather conditions may impact visibility on roads and affect daily activities across various districts of Telangana.

The meteorological department has advised residents to take necessary precautions during this period of intense winter weather. The cold wave conditions are expected to affect normal life, particularly during early morning and late evening hours. Authorities have recommended that vulnerable populations, including the elderly and children, take extra care to protect themselves from the cold. The January 5-12 period is anticipated to mark the peak of winter conditions in the state this season.
