Today, on March 28, 2023, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained stable in major cities across India. In Delhi, the price of petrol is Rs. 96.72 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 89.62 per litre. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, the price of petrol stands at Rs. 109.66 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 97.82 per litre. The petrol price in Chennai is Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 94.24 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs. 106.31 per litre while diesel remains at Rs. 97.28 per litre. Similarly, the petrol price in Bangalore is Rs. 101.94 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs. 87.89 per litre.

It is important to note that India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which means that crude prices have a significant impact on fuel rates in the country. However, other factors such as rising demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation and refinery concept ratio can also affect domestic fuel prices.

It is worth mentioning that the fuel prices mentioned above are due at 6 am and are subject to change at any time as the petroleum companies will alter the fuel prices based on the crude oil prices. Therefore, it is advisable to keep track of the latest fuel prices in your city before planning your travel or commute.
