    TPCC general secretary Kuruva Vijay Kumar opposes Congress ticket to Sarita Thirupathaiah, former Gadwal ZP Chairman. He expressed his displeasure to MP Muralidharan, Chairman of Telangana Pradesh Congress AICC election screening committee. Vijay Kumar claimed that both Thirupathaiah and Bandla Chadrasekhar Reddy, who recently joined Congress, are close associates of BRS leader Minister Niranjan Reddy. He also accused Thirupathaiah of misguiding Congress cadres and claiming that a bribe of Rs 5 crore was paid to the Congress high command for the ticket. Vijay Kumar urged the Congress high command to consider the ground realities before giving the ticket and protect the interests of the party and cadre. He also advised Sunil Kanugolu, a Congress party strategist, to assess the past activities of these leaders.
